Swinging Wonder

"The tree the tempest with a crash of wood
Throws down in front of us is not to bar

Our passage to our journey's end for good,
But just to ask us who we think we are...."

(Robert Frost)

Jamaica bursts with natural beauty, which leads to natural wonder. Sometimes I look through pictures other volunteers take, marveling at the color of the water, the sand, the sun. They all seem to whisper the same message, paradise. And I think, I live here.

I joined an adventure to visit another volunteer's site along the river, and this is what we found. Legend has the Spanish originally constructing this bridge, and the local community has added the swing, another rope swing, and a time-filling haven to it.

In continuing to look for my 1000 Gifts, I add
#593: swinging.
